On 14 December 2023, the European Court of Human Rights issued a judgment in the case of M.L. v Poland. The court has ruled, that the 2020 ruling of the Polish Constitutional Tribunal, prohibiting abortion on grounds of foetal abnormality, has resulted in the plaintiff’s human rights being violated.
